the second one commemorates teh 50th anniversary of the Human Rights declaration,
(image from Wagner
Schwan), law nº 006506.
Diameter 27,0 milimeters, thicknes 1,95 milimeters.
1 Real 2002
In june 2002, Brasil began to strike coins in cheaper aleations. Now the core is made with inoxidable steel (later was cupronikel), the ring is made with bronze plated inoxidable steel (the old coins was made with brass). So the new coins are lighter than the old coins
1 Real 2002 Juscelino Kubitsech
100th anniversary of the birthday of Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira. The coin was issued september 12th. Juscelino was president of Brasil from 1956 to 1961, he was the founder of the city of Brasilia. Mintage: 50 millions of coins. Law nº 010059. The designer and engraver was Alzira Duim.
1 Real 2005 Banco Central do Brasil
This coin commemorates the 40th aniversary of
the Central Bank of Brasil (Banco Central do Brasil). Mintage 40 millions of
coins, issue date september 23th.
Law nº 13.736. The designers and engravers were Glória A.
Ferreira y de Katia M. Abreu. The obverse shows the building of the bank in
Brasilia.

This kind of tokens are used in vending machines from Coca Cola Company. I knows tokens from Colombia (COL) and Uruguay (URU). The inner core was made with the same metal used in the ring.
